Day 2 - PARIS

Breakfast and half-day panoramic tour of the main points of interest. Paris, the capital of France, is a vibrant city filled with history. Known as the City of Light, it is famous for its iconic architecture, exquisite cuisine, and romantic atmosphere. One of the most significant historical events was the French Revolution, which began with the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789. This event marked the beginning of profound political and social changes in France. During the Belle Époque, the city became a hub of creativity, attracting artists such as Pablo Picasso and writers like Ernest Hemingway. The construction of the Eiffel Tower in 1889 symbolized the era’s progress and modernity. Don't miss landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Arc de Triomphe. Strolling through the streets of Montmartre or along the Seine River will allow you to fully experience the city's unique charm. Accommodation and breakfast at the Mercure Paris La Défense or similar hotel.

Day 3 - PARIS – ÉPERNAY – HAUTVILLERS – REIMS

After breakfast, we’ll head to the Champagne region, renowned for its winemaking tradition and rolling vineyard-covered hills. Our first stop is Épernay, known as the capital of Champagne, where we’ll walk along the prestigious Avenue de Champagne—one of the most celebrated streets in the world. Here, you’ll find historic Champagne houses such as Moët & Chandon and Perrier-Jouët, whose elegant mansions reflect the prestige of this sparkling wine. We’ll continue to Hautvillers, a picturesque medieval village and the cradle of Champagne history. This is where Dom Pérignon, the Benedictine monk who perfected the Champagne-making process in the 17th century, once lived. A walk through its streets will reveal the abbey and surrounding vineyards. Next, we’ll arrive in Reims, a city that combines elegance with historical significance. We’ll take a panoramic tour to see the stunning Notre-Dame of Reims Cathedral, where nearly all the French kings were crowned. Its majestic stained-glass windows and Gothic architecture make it a must-see site. To complete the experience, we’ll enjoy a select tasting in the prestigious Champagne region, birthplace of the finest sparkling wines in the world. Accommodation and breakfast at Novotel Suites Reims Centre or similar.

Day 4 - REIMS – METZ – STRASBOURG

After breakfast, we’ll leave our hotel in Reims and travel to Metz. This city has a rich medieval heritage and a strong Germanic influence. Its Saint Stephen Cathedral is famous for its stunning stained-glass windows, some designed by Marc Chagall. Metz also houses the Centre Pompidou-Metz, a contemporary art museum that reflects the city’s modern side. Its history is intertwined with that of Germany, as it was part of the German Empire from 1871 to 1918. We’ll have free time to enjoy lunch and savor the local cuisine. Our next and final stop of the day will be Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace and home to the European Parliament. We’ll take a walking tour to admire the majestic Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece whose 142-meter spire made it the tallest building in the world from 1647 to 1874. Its astronomical clock, an engineering marvel, continues to fascinate visitors with its complex mechanism and animated figurines. The Petite France district is a charming area with half-timbered houses and picturesque canals. The city is famous for its Alsatian cuisine, especially choucroute and flammekueche. Accommodation and breakfast at Novotel Strasbourg Les Halles or similar.

Day 5 - STRASBOURG – COLMAR – BESANÇON – MACON – LYON

After breakfast, we’ll depart Strasbourg and arrive at our first stop, the Alsatian town of Colmar. This medieval gem, near the German border and capital of the Haut-Rhin department, is known for its colorful facades and timber-framed houses that weave a story of beauty and tradition. We’ll take a short walk through Little Venice, a district with charming canals reminiscent of the Italian city. The Cathedral Square is a great place for photos and to soak in the local atmosphere. We’ll then travel to Besançon, known for its military and cultural history. We’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Citadel of Besançon, designed by Vauban. We’ll pause here for lunch before continuing the journey. Then we’ll head to Macon, where we’ll make a brief stop to walk through the old town, admire the colorful facades, and soak up the city’s essence. Finally, we’ll arrive in Lyon, where we’ll have the opportunity to enjoy the city’s evening atmosphere by exploring its historic streets or relaxing before the night’s rest. Accommodation and breakfast at Crowne Plaza Lyon City Inter or similar.

Day 6 - LYON

After breakfast, we’ll begin the day by exploring Place des Terreaux, home to the impressive Bartholdi Fountain and Lyon's grand City Hall. Then we’ll walk through Vieux Lyon, the Renaissance district with its iconic traboules—secret passageways connecting streets and historic buildings full of charm. We’ll ascend to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, from which we’ll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the city and its surroundings. After the morning visit, you’ll have free time for lunch and to explore Lyon at your own pace. For a cultural experience, you can visit the Musée des Confluences, a fascinating space dedicated to natural history and anthropology, stroll along the banks of the Rhône River, discover local shops on Rue de la République, or relax in the Parc de la Tête d'Or, the city’s largest park. Bellecour Square, one of the central points in Lyon, is an excellent place to find a restaurant and enjoy local specialties such as quenelle (a type of French dumpling made with fish, meat, or poultry, usually served with sauce) and coq au vin (a stew of chicken slowly cooked in red wine with bacon, mushrooms, and onions). Accommodation and breakfast at Crowne Plaza Lyon City Inter or similar.

Day 7 - LYON – DIJON – FONTAINEBLEAU – PARIS

After breakfast, we’ll depart by bus toward Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, famous for its gastronomy and historical heritage. Don’t forget to try the famous Dijon mustard at one of the local shops, a specialty that has earned the city international recognition. We’ll continue toward Fontainebleau to visit one of the most impressive castles in France. With more than 1,500 rooms and surrounded by spectacular gardens, the Château de Fontainebleau was the residence of French monarchs for centuries—from Francis I, who transformed the castle into a Renaissance palace, to Henry IV, who enhanced its splendor, as well as Louis XIII, Louis XIV, and Napoleon I, who left his mark with the only remaining Napoleonic throne room.
